Simanga Madhlabuta (Co-Curator, Head of Partnerships)
Simanga is a commercial sales and business development professional with a passion for Africa’s growth. He has gained invaluable corporate experience working for leading Zimbabwean entrepreneurial giants such as Innscor, Econet and Africom. He has also made meaningful entrepreneurial plays of his own in the investments and property industries, and in doing so, gained an enviable grasp of the nuances of Zimbabwe’s investment potential.
Simanga holds an BBA Finance degree from Solusi University and an MBA from Wits University. He is based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Andile Masuku (Co-Curator, Head of Production)
Andile is broadcaster and entrepreneur. When Andile is not covering Africa's emerging tech industry for African Tech Roundup, he speaks widely and advises high net worth individuals and leading brands and businesses on media strategy, market-entry plays and investment opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Andile holds a BBA - Business Management degree from Helderberg College and is currently studying towards a Masters in Interactive Digital Media at Wits University. He has also co-founded a gourmet grape juice label called Latanda with his wife, Sithabiso. Andile is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Andrew Berkowitz (Head of Business Development)
Andrew is a media entrepreneur and podcaster. He is recognized as one of the leading experts covering global startup ecosystems. He has partnered with leading brands in innovation and development finance worldwide, particularly in Africa.
Andrew holds a BS in both Management Consulting and Business IT from Virginia Tech and is based in Washington, DC.
Tadiwanashe Dzuda (Head of Logistics)
Tadiwanashe Dzuda is an entrepreneur and businessman who currently serves as chief operations officer at Urban Afrika— a family business which is the second largest advertising firm in Zimbabwe by revenue. At Urban Afrika, Tadiwanashe pioneered the company’s digital services department. He is also a non-executive director at Africa Inc., a Dubai-based investments firm focused on early-state startup funding.
Tadiwanashe was notably selected to attend in the 22nd Session of the United Nations General Youth Assembly in 2018. He is based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Nicole Netshivhungululu (Head of Brand)
Nicole is an entrepreneur and branding specialist who has founded and runs an agency called ICCIN Creative. She was previously head of sales for a leading South African higher education e-learning business and is currently the curator of the Africa Rise Facebook community which shares untold African success stories with a global audience.
Nicole holds a Diploma in Advertising Management and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
